Faithful to the original. Beautiful for today.
Old Glory Press exists to recover, preserve, and republish the great works of American heritage and historic Christian literature. We believe that the books which shaped the faith, character, and convictions of past generations still have the power to instruct, inspire, and transform readers today.
In an age of disposable content, we are committed to producing editions that honor both the authors who wrote them and the readers who will treasure them. Every title in our catalog has been carefully selected for its enduring spiritual value, historical significance, and literary merit.
Our catalog draws from two traditions: the literary and civic heritage of America, and the historic Christian classics of the English-speaking world. Some books belong to both — the sermons of Jonathan Edwards, the diaries of Elizabeth Prentiss. Others belong to one alone. All are works of devotion, spiritual autobiography, theological reflection, or moral instruction that once occupied a central place in homes and pulpits on both sides of the Atlantic — books that were read aloud in parlors, passed between friends, and handed down from one generation to the next.
Many of these titles have fallen out of print or survive only in poorly formatted digital editions. Old Glory Press gives them the presentation they deserve: carefully typeset, thoughtfully introduced, and beautifully bound. Where possible, we restore rare prefaces, introductions, and historical context that deepen the reader's understanding and appreciation.
Old Glory is the affectionate name for the American flag, and Old Glory Press is, at heart, an American publisher — based in the United States, designed and edited here, and printed here for most editions. Our catalog, however, reaches further: across the Atlantic to the great English-speaking Protestant tradition, and forward to whatever American works of enduring value we believe deserve a faithful republication. American roots, broad heritage.
We honor both the historic Protestant Christian tradition and the literary heritage of America — their work ethic, devotional depth, moral seriousness, and enduring hope.
We present these texts as their authors wrote them, without abridgment or revision. The original voice matters — and we trust our readers to meet these authors on their own terms.
A great book deserves a beautiful edition. We take care with typography, layout, and design because the form of a book is part of its witness.
We publish books meant to be kept, reread, and passed on. Our editions are made to last — in content, in craft, and in the lives of those who read them.
The writers in our catalog lived in times very different from our own, yet their struggles, questions, and discoveries remain startlingly familiar. They wrestled with doubt and faith, with ambition and surrender, with the ordinary demands of life and the extraordinary call of God. Their words have comforted and challenged readers for generations — and we believe they will do the same for you.
Whether you are a lifelong reader of Christian classics or discovering these treasures for the first time, we invite you to explore our catalog and join us in preserving this vital literary heritage for generations to come.
